Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

The name Erasmus stands for EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students, but, above all, it pays tribute to Erasmus of Rotterdam, the great Dutch humanist who travelled throughout Europe 500 years ago to understand its different cultures.

Participating in the Erasmus+ Programme means enjoying an opportunity without borders. Moreover, Erasmus+ is participation, personal growth and a concrete experience of European mobility. The Programme stands for inclusiveness and high quality education, but also for teaching opportunities and work or volunteer experience. Erasmus+ is for all ages, for active participation in democratic society, real intercultural understanding, including through the study of languages, and openness and evolution towards the world of work.
